En nuestra sección de El HERVIDERO de hoy queremos hablaros de la última creación de nuestra compañía Café de las Artes Teatro: ‘El inolvidable viaje de Nana’. Todo empezó con un sueño de Alicia Trueba durante el embarazo de su primer hijo y, a lo largo de su segundo embarazo, la idea tomó forma. «Soñé que levantaba mi jersey y podía ver a mi hijo dentro de mi tripa», explica Alicia. Así comenzó un proceso creativo que ha durado más de 5 años y ha visto la luz en 2018 (debido a los ajustado tiempos de una madre trabajadora dentro y fuera de casa). La pieza se ha estrenado oficialmente el pasado 22 de febrero en la Feria Europea de Teatro para Niños y Niñas, FETEN Gijón.
Alicia, intérprete y directora de la obra, nos cuenta que “El viaje de Nana es una colección de recuerdos en tres dimensiones, retazos de una vida tejidos a partir de mi propia experiencia de la maternidad». Esta obra de teatro físico y visual trata con una gran dosis de ternura y delicadeza la transformación que vive una mujer, Nana, que se convierte en madre. Durante su embarazo irá descubriendo cómo su cuerpo comienza a cambiar para ya nunca volver a ser uno sino dos. Partiendo de los lenguajes de circo y teatro gestual, el espectáculo se estructura en torno a un globo aerostático que aparece en escena cubierto con una tela blanca sobre la que se van proyectando imágenes. La obra propone al espectador un recorrido por una serie de escenas que relatan, valiéndose de las marionetas, las sombras, la música y las imágenes, un viaje en globo muy especial sobrevolando el terreno del ciclo de la vida.
Alicia Trueba comenzó sus estudios de teatro en la Escuela de Arte Dramático del Palacio de Festivales de Cantabria, y después se formó en París, en la Escuela Internacional de Mimodrama Macel Marceau. Es licenciada en Artes del Espectáculo-Teatro por la Universidad Paris XVIII y ha trabajo como bailarina, actriz y profesora en Ange Magnetic Théâtre, en la Academie Internacional des Arts du Spectacle Carlo Bosso de Montreuil, la Nouvelle Compagnie Marcel Marceau y la Compañía del Teatro de los Sentidos. En junio de 2009 crea junto a su compañero, Cristian Londoño, la compañía Café de las Artes Teatro, compañía estable que ha realizado más de diez creaciones en los últimos diez años.
‘El inolvidable viaje de Nana’ ha emocionado a pequeños y grandes y tendrá la suerte de presentarse el 5 de mayo en La Fira de Títeres de Lleida. A Nana le espera seguro un largo y prometedor viaje.

In our THE HIVE section of today we want to tell you about the latest creation of our company Café de las Artes Teatro: «The unforgettable journey of Nana». It all started with a dream of Alicia Trueba during the pregnancy of her first child, and throughout her second pregnancy, the idea took shape. ‘I dreamed that I would lift my sweater and I could see my son inside my belly’, explains Alicia. Thus began a creative process that lasted for more than 5 years and the piece saw the light in 2018 (due to the tight times of a working mother inside and outside the home). The official premiere was on the 22nd of February this year at the European Theatre Market for Children, FETEN Gijón.
Alicia, actress and director of the piece, tells us that ‘Nana’s journey is a collection of memories in three dimensions, pieces of a life woven from my own experience of motherhood’. «The unforgettable journey of Nana» has excited to children and adults. This physical and visual theater play with a great dose of tenderness and delicacy speaks about the transformation lived by a woman, Nana, when she became a mother. During her pregnancy, she will discover how her body begins to change to never be one but two. Starting from the languages of circus and gestural theater, the show is structured around a hot air balloon that appears on the scene covered with a white cloth while images are projected over it. The work proposes to the viewer a tour through a series of scenes that relate, by using puppets, shadows, music and images, a very special balloon trip flying over the life’s cycle.
Alicia Trueba began her theater studies at the School of Theatre at Palacio de Festivales of Cantabria, and later she trained in Paris, at the Macel Marceau International School of Mimodrama. She has a degree in Performing Arts-Theater from the University Paris XVIII and has worked as a dancer, actress and teacher at Ange Magnetic Théâtre, at the Academie Internationale des Arts du Spectacle Carlo Bosso in Montreuil, the Nouvelle Compagnie Marcel Marceau and the Compañía Teatro de los Sentidos. In June 2009 she created, together with her partner, Cristian Londoño, the company Café de las Artes Teatro, a stable company that has made more than ten creations in the last ten years.
‘The unforgettable journey of Nana’ has thrilled young and old and will be lucky to join on the 5th of May La Fira de Títeres of Lleida. It is sure that a long and promising journey awaits Nana.
